Yanmar was founded in 1912 and has its roots in the development and manufacture of diesel engines. Its history reflects total devotion to quality and innovation.
The European link for Yanmar's global network for tri-polar parts and sales was established in Almere. By November 1989, land was procured and the facilities were opened. Parts operations was the first activity to be started. Six months later the Large Engine operations began, followed by the Marine and Industrial Engine business in 1991. In 1997 a new page was turned and Yanmar Europe started to assemble marine pleasure craft engines.
